SULLIVAN CO., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Population growth can be something that brings multiple kinds of benefits to a community and recent U.S. Census data show several cities in the West Central Indiana Region can soon see those possible benefits.
The West Central Indiana Partnership recently released data from the U.S. Census showing four of the five major cities within the region have increased in population from the year 2024 to 2025, while the other major city has stayed stable in population. Vice President of Regional Development with the West Central Indiana Partnership, Josh Alsip, mentioned how this growth in the region is just the beginning.
“We think that this momentum is just starting,” Alsip said. “As we all coalesce more together around the West Central Indiana Regional Plan, economic development, infrastructure, quality of place, housing, we think that we’re going to be kind of a model for not just the region, not just for the state, but hopefully for the entire country.”…
