INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s homicide unit is conducting an investigation in the 300 block of South Taft Avenue.
Police were called to the area — which is located just off of West Washington Street on the west side of Indianapolis — around 10:30 a.m. Sunday to begin a death investigation. In a statement sent to FOX59/CBS4, IMPD identified the decedent at the center of the investigation as an adult male.
A public police report indicates IMPD’s homicide unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation. Police have reported that the Marion County Coroner’s Office will be the agency that determines the decedent’s manner and cause of death.
