‘I can do what I want. It’s Indiana’: Man refused to stop ‘messing around’ with gun before shooting 2 friends, police say

A 21-year-old man in Indiana is accused of drunkenly “playing” with a handgun before shooting two of his friends as they were lying in bed together, telling police it was “100% on me” and “I was a complete f—ing idiot.”

Joshua Ledford is charged in Marion County with two counts of battery by means of a deadly weapon and one count of criminal recklessness for allegedly firing into an occupied dwelling, according to court records.

The shooting happened shortly before 2 a.m. on July 16 at a home in the 1000 block of Denison Street on Indianapolis’ west side. Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a person shot and found two victims — a man and a woman — suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a report from Indianapolis NBC affiliate WTHR…
