U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged an immigration detainer against a Mexican national following his arrest in Indiana on charges including attempted rape and sexual misconduct with a minor.
Javier Cereque-Perez was taken into custody in Indianapolis on July 6 during a joint operation conducted by ICE and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Following the arrest, federal agents transferred Cereque-Perez to the Fishers Police Department.
The arrest stems from an incident alleged to have occurred in August 2024 near Fishers, Indiana.
