INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is searching for the mother of a newborn that was found abandoned Friday night on the far east side of Indianapolis.
According to a post on X by IMPD, just before 11:30 p.m. on July 24, officers were called to Lace Bark Lane and Long Wharf Drive, which is at the end of a neighborhood near East 38th Street and North German Church Road, to check the welfare of a child.
IMPD said officers found a newborn baby in the tree line near a trail. The newborn was taken to Riley Hospital for Children and is reported to be in stable condition…
