The price reductions, which began rolling out in May, apply to Family Fare, VG’s Grocery, Martin’s Super Markets and Piggly Wiggly locations across Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. “At a time when families are looking for greater value when they shop, we’re lowering prices on thousands of grocery products across our company-operated grocery stores, many of which serve rural communities. This investment reflects our commitment to helping shoppers stretch their budgets without compromising on quality, freshness and selection. By making everyday essentials more affordable, we are delivering real savings and continuing our commitment to being the hometown grocer of choice,” said Eric Winn, chief executive officer of C&S.
Discounted products include fresh meats such as boneless chicken breasts, rib-eye steaks, ground beef, Nathan’s all-beef franks and Kingsford charcoal; produce including Honeycrisp apples, bananas and bell peppers; and everyday grocery and household items such as ketchup, mustard, pickles, Glad trash bags, Dawn dish detergent and Ziploc storage bags.
Customers can combine the lower shelf prices with retailer loyalty programs and digital coupons available through each banner’s rewards platform…
