INDIANAPOLIS — Mike Perkins still has vivid memories of the day he was carjacked by three men with a gun.
“I had just made a delivery, and I come jump back up into the truck and there were two fellas standing in the doorway,” said Perkins, who was working as a UPS driver in Anderson. “One of them had a gun and said, ‘Shut up and get back here.’ It was definitely traumatic.”
Over the next 30 minutes, the armed men bound Perkins’ hands with a zip tie, stole his UPS shirt and drove to the National City Bank in Chesterfield, Ind., where they posed as UPS workers to enter the bank. They then held the bank staff at gunpoint while robbing more than $100,000 in cash…
