LAWRENCE, Ind. — Fire crews responded to a house fire that resulted in a woman being hospitalized in Lawrence on Monday.
Firefighters with the Lawrence Fire Department were dispatched around 5:14 p.m. to a home in the 7700 block of E. 47th Street in response to a residence fire. Crews arrived on the scene to discover “heavy fire conditions” as they began to launch an aggressive interior attack.
LFD said firefighters safely removed a cat and a dog from the burning home. A female was brought to an area hospital to check for inhalation of smoke, according to LFD. No firefighters were injured during the response…
