Cicero police officer rescues injured bald eagle

CICERO, Ind. — A Cicero police officer rescued a bald eagle on Saturday.

In a Facebook post, the Cicero Police Department indicated that it received a report about an injured bald eagle during the afternoon hours of the day Saturday. The report suggested the injured bald eagle had been spotted near the intersection of 236th Street and U.S. Highway 31.

Officers who responded to the scene initially struggled to locate the eagle. One persistent officer, however, ultimately found the eagle and transported it to the Cicero Police Department…
