Indiana Conservation Officer K-9 Gunny helps track suspect through woods, leading to arrest in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — The Indiana DNR Division of Law Enforcement is thanking one of its very own K-9 officers after they helped lead to a successful arrest recently in Morgan County.

On Monday, May 11, the Indiana DNR posted that K-9 Gunny and his handler sprang into action when a suspect with felony warrants attempted to flee Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on foot.

According to the DNR, Gunny tracked the suspect “across a creek and through dense rugged woods,” leading deputies to the suspect’s relative’s home, where he was taken into custody…
