A Durham man has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle after he struck two Burlington pedestrians last week, killing one and leaving the other in critical condition, police said.
Jeron Ricole Robertson, 34, was charged in connection with the June 20 crash on the 2400 block of North Church Street (US-70) in which police say he struck Curtis Lee Ridgeway, 53, and Kristie Williams Huffines, 55, both of Burlington, as they crossed the roadway.
Ridgeway was pronounced dead at the scene. Huffines was transported to a trauma center, where she remains in critical but stable condition…
