Downtown Raleigh is set to host a cultural gathering next Saturday that blends literature, entrepreneurship, and community giving under one roof. The Summer Renaissance Experience: Lit for the Culture will bring together renowned authors, entrepreneurs, and community leaders for an afternoon of author meet-and-greets, panels, and a marketplace spotlighting Black-owned businesses.
The event runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Center for Architecture & Design in Raleigh, with VIP doors opening at 2 p.m., according to CBS 17. The venue, formally known as the AIA North Carolina Center for Architecture and Design at 14 East Peace Street, features a multipurpose space built to host gatherings of up to 120 guests, per AIA North Carolina.
General admission tickets are priced at $25, with VIP access set at $75, while full-time students get in free with valid student identification, according to the event listing on Eventbrite. That zero-cost student rate opens the door for university and youth participation across the Triangle. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Saving Adolescent Girls Everywhere, known as S.A.G.E., a Raleigh-based nonprofit offering empowerment and mental health programming for teen girls in underserved communities, as reported by ABC11.
