The N.C. Department of Transportation is seeking public input on a proposal to widen Poole Road from Barwell Road to Hodge Road.
The proposed improvements would expand Poole Road from two lanes to four lanes and include a center median to separate traffic traveling in opposite directions. It’s intended to address the ongoing growth and increasing travel demand throughout the corridor by reducing future traffic congestion, improving roadway operations, and supporting anticipated development.
A public meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, at the Barwell Road Community Center at 5858 Barwell Park Drive in Raleigh. The informal meeting will be an opportunity for individuals to look at preliminary design maps, talk to the project team and submit comments…
