DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A seventeen-year-old boy has died in a crash in northwest Durham on Saturday night.
The wreck happened before 9 p.m. along Cole Mill Road at Nancy Rhodes Drive, just south of the Sparger Road intersection, police said. They said a vehicle traveling north on Cole Mill Road struck a 17-year-old boy who was riding a bicycle.

Officers said that the juvenile was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders.
There was no word about how the deadly collision happened, and Durham police closed both directions of Cole Mill Road between Nancy Rhodes Drive and West Wyndham Lane to investigate.
