RIO RANCHO β€” A woman charged in 2023 with the death of developmentally disabled woman, Mary Melero, 38, of Rio Rancho, has pleaded guilty and will get a lengthy sentence. Attorney General RaΓΊl Torrez and the New Mexico Department of Justice’s Medicaid Fraud and Elder Abuse Bureau announced April 6 that it secured a minimum of 20 years in prison for Angelita Chacon.
