Murder conviction vacated for man who served 18 years in Minneapolis nightclub shooting
MINNEAPOLIS — A Hennepin County judge has vacated a first-degree murder conviction in a 2008 Minneapolis nightclub shooting after a new review of the case. Jerrell Michael Brown, 38, has spent nearly 18 years in prison after being convicted in the shooting death of Darius Ormond Miller. However, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office said advancements in technology led experts to re-examine key evidence.
