OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha has recorded a low number of homicides so far this year, putting the city on pace for one of its safest years in decades. Homicides are down 75% from this point last year. Non-fatal shootings are down 63% this year. The numbers are better than any Omaha has seen over the last 10 years.
