FAIRFAX, Iowa (KCRG) – Traffic around two data center construction sites has residents in Fairfax reporting drivers speeding 95 miles per hour in a 25-mile-per-hour zone.
The town is studying traffic patterns after complaints, but Fairfax cannot simply increase patrols because it does not have a police department. It contracts with Linn County to have deputies respond to 911 calls and enforce laws.
Neighbors said that is not enough to deal with speeders near the data construction sites…
