CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Fireworks stands are open across Iowa ahead of the Fourth of July, but Cedar Rapids officials want residents to know that buying fireworks and using them are governed by different rules.
State law requires cities to allow the sale of consumer fireworks within city limits, but local governments can still regulate when they are used.
