Monarch Research to give one free native tree per child to help regrow Cedar Rapids canopy

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — After the derecho, Cedar Rapids lost almost 3/4th of its tree canopy. 6 Years later, efforts are being made to restore the canopy to preserve the ecosystem that once stood.

Monarch research is offering one free tree per child or grandchild within a family. The hope is to educate children more about nature in an age where technology and distractions dominate kids lives.
