A Central City motorcyclist was injured in a collision Thursday night.
The accident happened south of Mount Vernon at 99 Highway 1 around 9:30 pm. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year old Raymond Heasty had slowed down to pull off to the side of the road when his motorcycle was hit from behind by a pickup truck. Both vehicles ended up in the east ditch.
Heasty suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. His passenger was not hurt…
