Community vows to keep fighting after vote clears path for 1,500-acre solar facility

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – A Berkeley County community is continuing to fight back as the county council voted to clear the way for RWE’s Sandy Run Solar, an approximately 1,500-acre 198-megawatt utility-scale solar generating facility.

The council voted 3-2 to lift the moratorium for this solar project, but residents say the fight is far from over.
