WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCSC) — The final phase of a development in the Church Creek Basin of West Ashley has residents and environmental advocates concerned about its potential impact on the wetlands.
The project is the third and final phase of the multifamily Middleborough Condos on Deerfield Drive within the Shadowmoss neighborhood. The proposal includes approximately 60 residential units and would require placing about 8,654 cubic yards of fill into 2.28 acres of freshwater wetlands, along with additional wetland clearing for stormwater maintenance.
