CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Holding a job is no longer a guarantee of financial stability for many families across the Lowcountry.
New data from Trident United Way shows about 129,000 households across Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties fall into a category known as ALICE, an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
