Charleston opens new public input phase for long-range Peninsula plan

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The City of Charleston is launching a new public engagement phase for its Charleston Peninsula Plan, a long-term framework officials say will guide growth, development, and infrastructure decisions across the Peninsula for decades to come.

Starting July 9, the city will host weekly “Open Studio” sessions every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Design Center on Calhoun Street.

Residents can drop in to view planning work in progress and speak directly with city staff about priorities shaping the future of the Peninsula…
