BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A member of the Berkeley County Planning Commission has resigned following an incident during a Tuesday meeting in which he was accused of pulling and cocking a firearm.
The commission met Tuesday night to consider a major development proposal in the Cane Bay area that could add thousands of homes. Roughly two hours into the meeting, following public comment, commissioners moved toward a vote.
As the commission prepared to vote, a member of the audience attempted to speak and was told public comment had ended. The individual continued to press to be heard, and at least one person in the audience shouted during the proceedings…
