Pizza A Modo Mio, the restaurant “where Brooklyn meets Charleston hospitality,” has grown to include three full-time restaurants in the Charleston area. Now, Chef Michael Pitera is preparing to launch a fast-casual sister concept that will offer a speedier approach to the same great quality food.
The fast-casual approach is, in part, inspired by the mall’s proximity to the Medical University of South Carolina, which has purchased part of the mall.
“With MUSC being right there, you have people coming on their lunch break. They can’t do a 20-minute turnaround time for a full pizza. So we wanted to be able to offer a different menu style, to pull certain things off our menu that we can streamline for the food court.”…
