DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A jury in Dorchester County has found Ashner Hollyn Nelson guilty on all counts in connection with the 2024 crash on Patriot Boulevard that killed two teenagers, following a high-profile trial that lasted five days and included more than 30 testimonies.
Nelson was convicted of two counts of felony driving under the influence resulting in death and two counts of reckless vehicular homicide in the deaths of 17-year-olds Samuel Oliveira and Joseph Da Silva. The jury reached its unanimous verdict after deliberation on Friday, bringing an end to a case that has gripped the North Charleston community for two years.
