CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — More cases of rabies among animals were recorded in South Carolina, according to newly released information from the state’s Department of Public Health.
On Friday, the agency confirmed a raccoon near Wappoo Drive and Hinson Avenue in Charleston tested positive for rabies. One person was exposed and has been referred to their healthcare provider, state officials said.
