CHARLESTON — A dig for a new downtown pool came to a sudden halt when a coffin was unearthed at one of Charleston’s most expensive homes.
A set of human remains was discovered June 23 during construction work at 13-15 East Battery, which was purchased for $12.45 million in 2023.
