CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The Charleston County School District is preparing for the start of the school year under the theme “Powered by Purpose,” with district staff addressing teacher vacancies, behavioral policy changes and community engagement efforts.
The district’s chief human resources officer, William Briggman, said approximately 98% of teachers signed their return letters at the end of the last school year, with some turnover since then.
