CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)— With students heading back to school and temperatures expected to climb this week, doctors are reminding parents to make heat safety a priority.
Heat index values could feel like 100 degrees or higher, creating dangerous conditions for children during outdoor activities, including recess, sports and other extracurriculars.
