NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department arrested a man after he allegedly ran a stoplight and led officers on a “reckless” pursuit early Tuesday morning.
Curtis Quamae Woodfield, 35, is charged with failure to stop for blue lights and driving under suspension, second offense.
An officer spotted Woodfield run a red light around 2:30 a.m. and attempted a traffic stop. Woodfield fled, which led to a pursuit.
Woodfield allegedly drove erratically, sped and nearly struck other vehicles as the pursuit moved onto Interstate 26 and through several roads. He also threw several items from the vehicle near Cosgrove Avenue during the chase…
