All eyes on the skies ahead of Charleston Air Show set to take flight Saturday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — With just one day to go, excitement is building across the Lowcountry as the Charleston Air Show prepares for takeoff. “It was just absolutely incredible,” Molly a Mount Pleasant mom said after watching Friday’s rehearsal from the flight deck of the U.S.S. Yorktown with her sons.

Crowds gathered along Charleston Harbor and aboard the historic U.S.S. Yorktown to catch a glimpse of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels during their final dress rehearsal. From the flight deck, fans watched in awe as Blue Angel #7 Lieutenant Ronny Hafeza narrated each formation, flip, and high-speed maneuver.

“What a blessing to be right in the middle of all the action,” Senator Tim Scott said. The performance showcased the precision and teamwork that have made the Blue Angels a fan favorite for generations. Families, veterans, and first-time viewers alike were captivated by the display.
