Police investigate cash theft at North Charleston grocery

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Early Monday morning, officers responded to a report of a burglary at a North Charleston grocery store, where police discovered a hole in a wall that the suspect allegedly used to gain entry.

According to the North Charleston Police Department, when officers responded to El Chavo Grocery, they found that a wall behind a cooler had been cut open and the insulation removed, which the suspect allegedly used to enter the store.

The person who reported the crime told officers that a large amount of cash was missing, while no other items appeared to have been taken…
