MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) — A Berkeley County man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to killing his wife, a 24-year-old U.S. Marine, just moments before his murder trial was set to begin.
Trivelle Fowler, 38, pleaded guilty to murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to prosecutors. Judge Christopher D. Taylor imposed the sentence Thursday.
Fowler entered his plea minutes before the state was scheduled to deliver opening statements, according to Solicitor Scarlett A. Wilson . “The Moncks Corner Police Department gave us an excellent investigation,” Wilson said in a statement. “This is yet another case of unhinged domestic violence.”…
