North Charleston police arrest two women after kids found alone in home

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — North Charleston police arrested two women Tuesday after officers found several young children alone inside a home described as having unsafe living conditions.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded around 9:30 a.m. to a residence on English Street after receiving a report of unattended children outside, according to a police report. A caller told dispatchers she had guided the children back inside before officers arrived.

When officers reached the home, they found the front door open and three children standing near the entrance. After knocking and announcing themselves without a response, officers entered the residence to look for an adult and found a fourth child asleep in a bedroom…
