Two charged after overnight shooting in Uptown injures two people: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people are charged after an overnight shooting in Uptown that injured two people, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Around midnight on Sunday, officers were enforcing Charlotte’s Curfew Ordinance around Romare Bearden Park when they heard multiple gunshots. When they arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, CMPD said.

Officers quickly found and apprehended two suspects related to the incident, one of whom was carrying a firearm. No further details about the shooting have been released…
