CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A 7-year-old boy accidentally shot himself Sunday afternoon after finding a gun at a home in southeast Charlotte, police said.
The shooting happened around 3 p.m. Sunday, July 19, in a residential neighborhood on Knight Court in southeast Charlotte.
Officers arrived to find the boy with a gunshot wound. Police said he found a handgun inside the home and accidentally shot himself. The child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was released shortly afterward. The boy’s condition was not immediately clear as of this writing…
