A 33-year-old man died early Thursday morning while in custody of the Mecklenburg County Detention Center.
The sheriff’s office says Domonique Chrisholm experienced a medical emergency and became unresponsive around 11:30 Wednesday night. Deputies say lifesaving measures were taken and continued until emergency crews arrived to take him to the hospital.
