Generations of North Carolina residents who grew up with Neese’s Country Sausage on their breakfast tables had one question when the return of its namesake product was announced: What about the livermush?
Food Lion announced Aug. 4 that Neese’s Regular Country Sausage, Hot Country Sausage and Extra Sage Country Sausage would return to store shelves, starting this month.
At the time, representatives said other items would make a comeback, as well. But the timeline — and whether those products included Neese’s Liver Mush and Liver Pudding — remained unclear…
