South Carolina man sues Uptown Charlotte nightclub over alleged assaulted by security guards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A South Carolina man filed a lawsuit in August against an Uptown Charlotte nightclub after he was allegedly assaulted by multiple security guards.

The lawsuit filed on Aug. 7, 2026, alleged that Ronald Hurtado was assaulted by three security guards on March 15 at Tequila House nightclub on West 5th Street. According to the lawsuit, Hurtado was left unconscious and in need of facial reconstructive surgery

The lawsuit said Ronald Hurtado and his wife, Itzell Hurtado, were at Tequila House nightclub, when his wife became sick. Ronald Hurtado was waiting outside the restroom for his wife when a security guard went up to him and told him, “get the f— out of here,” the lawsuit said…
