Charlotte Kids Fest returns Oct. 3 with a new sensory-friendly zone

Charlotte Kids Fest returns to University City on Saturday, Oct. 3, with a free festival that adds a sensory-friendly space for autistic and neurodivergent children to its mix of performances, games and hands-on activities, organizers announced Friday.

The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Boardwalk at University City, 8931 JM Keynes Drive, according to the announcement. Admission is free, and organizers are directing guests to park at the JW Clay parking deck.
