CHARLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — A new ConsumerAffairs analysis ranks a Charlotte ZIP code as the strongest buyer’s housing market in North Carolina.
The report found ZIP code 28202 gave buyers more negotiating leverage than other areas analyzed in the state. From April through June, just 3.3% of homes there sold above their asking price, compared with a national average of 23.5%.
Homes in the ZIP code sold for an average of 96% of their list price, compared with 98% nationally, according to the report. They also spent a median of 92 days on the market, well above the national median of 60 days…
