MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two men were arrested last week after being accused of an armed robbery during the attempted sale of vape products near a Union County high school.
According to court documents, Union County deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred March 28 southwest of Monroe. Detectives allege the victim was robbed and assaulted with a small handgun a while attempting to purchase marijuana vape products.

Through the investigation, detectives identified 18-year-old Jayden Watts, of Monroe, and Courtney Massey Jr. (19, Charlotte) as suspects in the incident. Arrest warrants were obtained April 8 for both individuals for robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Arresting documents indicate the victim was robbed of two cellphones and $80 in cash. And two other unknown people were involved…
