CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Lawmakers on a North Carolina oversight committee have initiated an investigation into multiple agencies in Mecklenburg County after an ongoing WBTV investigation into the death of Dominique Moody in December.
WBTV previously reported how the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services closed five investigations into the child’s home before her death, without substantiating abuse or neglect. The reporting also uncovered nearly fifty calls for service placed to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department involving the home.
