CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A broken water main shut down a busy stretch of Providence Road in south Charlotte on Friday afternoon, police said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a report of flooding along Providence Road near Colville Road and Beverly Drive, around 4:30 p.m. on May 15.
CMPD said the inbound lanes of Providence Road would be closed for an extended period of time while crews work to fix the water leak and patch up the asphalt. Drivers should avoid the area through Friday evening’s commute…
