E-bike operator found at fault in serious Huntersville crash: Police

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man who was struck while driving an e-bike in Huntersville was found to be at fault in the collision, police say.

According to Huntersville Police, officers responded to a serious crash just after 4 p.m. Sunday on Statesville Road at Huntersville Commons Drive.

An investigation revealed the 42-year-old on the legal e-bike was leaving a nearby gas station and heading east while attempting to cross Statesville Road and access an apartment complex.

In doing so, he allegedly operated the bike in a careless manner and rode into the path of a vehicle traveling north on Statesville Road…
