CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The next chapter for Chattanooga’s former home of the Lookouts is about to begin.
Demolition of AT&T Field is scheduled to start Thursday, marking the first visible step toward transforming the Hawk Hill site into a new mixed-use neighborhood.
River City Company says initial demolition work will include removing the stadium’s iconic scoreboard. The demolition process is expected to take three to four months. Once the stadium is gone, the site will be graded, seeded and maintained as green space until redevelopment begins.
