Federal authorities are asking for the public’s help to track down a Newport News man wanted for a fatal shooting that took place on April 1. The U.S. Marshals Service announced Monday that they are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to his arrest.
The suspect, 39-year-old Joquan Antonio Porter, is facing multiple charges, including first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting into an occupied dwelling. Investigators consider him armed and dangerous.
The charges stem from an incident on the afternoon of April 1, when local police officers responded to a shooting at a residence in the 300 block of Deputy Lane. Upon arriving, officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim later died from their injuries…
